I don't think Police is sensible option BUT it seems to me that some people on here are looking at this through the history of people having a tear up on the rec on a Sunday and then going to the pub afterwards.

This isn't that sort of person, these are stabby scum. It's a whole different ballgame. If I'd been on my own as the only parent with the team coach there I might have called the OB but because we had a load of parents there at the match this week there were enough people to ensure nothing happened.

So if someone threatens to stab you - then the police should be involved.

The police would just laugh, if I remember right, the Met Police football team was one of the dirtiest in the league

*RING RING*

"Hello 999 what is your emergency?"

"HEEEELP!!! I'm at my son's school soccer match and someone just called the referee a wanker!"

If you were a 999 operator what would you do next?

"Quite simple - get the police involved"

Fuck me, telling tales now.

This country is so weak.

Assuming one is uneducated due to the colour of one's skin it seems. Maybe the "racist" tag was justified.

No place for racism in modern soccer, Fifth.

I'm with Takashi Miike. Calling someone 'uneducated' is worse than calling someone a cunt and exactly where you lost the moral high ground.

In fact I bet if you'd gone up to him and said quietly in his ear 'come on mate you are acting like a cunt in front of a bunch of 11 year-olds' you'd have got a better response.

Re: Mentalists at kids football
Went out with a mate and all the other dads from their sons football team on Saturday.

They all also play all over the place for various teams like Southend and all the dads are more bothered about their kids doing well, than the kids themselves, who just want to play football.

Half the dads didn't even get on with each other, so must really fucking hate the opposition.

Just the way football has gone I suppose.

The reason i finally gave up coaching after 16 years in youth football was the day two "youths" rode over on bikes to where we were training and then pulling a knife out to try and stab one of my players (u16)
Both were sent on their way but that was the moment i decided it was time to get out.

Taz

I was actually wearing West Ham hat as it was cold. Maybe that's why he said I was a "fucking white racist prick".

Clearly he knows me well.

The thing is I've seen so many parents get into arguments and a fair few fights... but then it's over. No-one ever suggests getting tooled up. That's the difference - what sort of #### threatens to stab someone?

See a Senrab manager rip the shit out of a bunch of 9 year olds over Wanstead Flats after a defeat.
Lined them up along the changing room wall and gave them all a proper bollocking.
Found it shocking on 2 counts, the first being how personally the coach took loss and how the parents just stood there and suffered the finger wagging aimed at there kids.
Think the fella was reported by the groundsman and rooted out of local football.

No bait at all.

Saturday and Sunday kids football was always hard, dirty and ended up with the odd fight, scores were settled from various schools and manors, it toughened kids up

They are all soft as shite these days
